Loudon Accessories That Have Proven Useful

Loudon: Quick-release Seat Cushions (with storage)

The stern seat, closest to us, has a cushion attached. Beyond is the bow cushion that has an attached zippered nylon bag. 
    • The zippered bag fits under the seat, providing handy removable storage that is out of the way while on board.

Loudon notes: In the Loudon, the bow cushion has a zippered bag that fits under the seat. The stern cushion straps to the seat but has no storage bag. This arrangement allows clearance under the stern seat for the footrest.

Loudon: Custom Seat Cushions that are laced on.

  • This was our first model of cushion.
  • Each is laced to the seat with cord.
  • We designed this cushion to give added comfort while rowing.
  • The cushion is 1-1/2" thick marine grade foam in a strong, heavy duty washable cover.
  • There are brass grommets and a line to secure the cushion to the seat.

Loudon: Custom Fitted Cover and Ramp Cradle

  • Our custom fitted cover is made of Sunbrella which is currently the best marine cover material available.
  • It breathes for ventilation but is waterproof and does not shrink.
  • There is a drawstring that runs all the way around the bottom of the cover with tiedown straps at each of the three adjustable support poles.
  • There are slots at each end for the mooring lines to come through and reinforcing at each oarlock.
  • This cover is very secure and strong and will keep your boat looking like new for years.
 Ramp Cradle
  • This is useful on a floating dock or where the water level does not vary.
  • In this picture, the  cradlepiece at the end of dock has rollers. (usually this part would be closer to the end of the dock.
  • We make these cradles for people who keep their boat out of the water most of the time.
  • There are two carpeted cradles: the one near the water has a roller set on brass rod and the other is shaped to hold the boat upright. Cross pieces fasten the cradles firmly in place on a ramp.

  • Used to store small items.
  • It has a removable storage bag with a drawstring.

Loudon Heavy Duty Launching Dolly
  • This welded steel launching dolly has two large air-filled tires so it can be used in any terrain.
  • There is a wide strap to support the boat and a handle at a comfortable height to pull with.
  • With the boat balanced over the tires it is easy to get a boat in and out of the water.
  • It is heavy enough that it won't float away when the boat is launched.
