  • The second in our growing line of boats, the Loudon is a full-size classic family rowboat, finely executed in teak and fibreglass. 
  • The  Loudon is double-ended for maximum rowing efficiency.  
  • The Loudon is equipped with three sets of oarlocks. The centre set is often used for single rowing.

With two rowing seats and two passenger seats, the Loudon can be rowed single or double and can easily accommodate a family of four. Safe and durabled can easily accommodate a family of four. Safe and durable, the Loudon is very well built for low maintenance and maximum rowing enjoyment.

The Loudon has been carefully designed to be comfortably rowed by people of all ages.

Below the waterline, the hull has more deadrise angle and finer ends to improve tracking, increase speed and glide between strokes. The result is a boat that is fast, easy to row, and stable in a crosswind. The lapstrake planking and the topside shape keeps the boat dry in rough weather.
 
 
Attention to detail makes the Loudon the only boat of its kind. A separately moulded floor liner and fully adjustable footrests are standard on every boat.

The floor liner has three air chambers for positive flotation and a non-slip surface on the floor and end seats for secure foote on the floor and end seats for secure footing and safety. 
  • The adjustable stern seat is shown, bolted to its track.
  • A similar bow seat is also available.

The Loudon can be finished with either a wood or a fibreglass deck. The gunwterboats.com/loudongd.html">fibreglass deck. The gunwales, rowing seats and footrest blocks are made of solid wood. Our own design of the end cleat is cast bronze, protecting the ends of the boat, and providing a strong lifting handle. An ideal family boat. Easy to row, spacious, seaworthy, safe.
